As an interior designer I am always aware of my surroundings. Everywhere I go, I look at architecture, at interiors and at the aesthetic interpretation(s) thereof. In that sense, it feels like "breathing" to me. Empathy is the most important quality of a good interior designer. You must be able to put yourself in others' shoes.
